I get disappointed with all the "Large 7-pointer" topics on this web site. That is a 1.5 year old deer ussually, you should be more proud to take a large doe.
Who the hell are you to decide what others should be proud of [:'(]
Be proud of what you wish. But I subscribe to quality deer management. This is a SCIENTIFIC approach to maintaining a healthy deer herd. Within QDMA the harvesting of immature bucks is heavily discouraged.

My concern is people passing on does to harvest immature bucks. There is no logic behind that. We should be agressively harvesting does to keep the deer herd in check. A doe will fill your freezer just as well as an immature buck. And keep the doe-to-buck ratio in ballance. A ballanced doe-to-buck ratio is one way in determining the quality of your deer herd.

Go to www.qdma.com for more information.

Man, people hunt for many reasons, its not always about trophy racks, and not everyone has their own land/enough land to practice qdm.. I only have 15 acres, and Ive passed on little guys, but who's to say the farmer down the road didnt kill him..People should be proud of EVERYTHING they shoot.
