My 1st dog was a Brittany male, that was 48 years ago, since then I have had setters, shorthairs, labs, and even an english pointer. What do i have now another Brittany and I wouldn' t trade him for any other breed of dog. Advice on getting your 1st pup, Get a Female, they don' t have the bull head streak most males of any breed do and are easier for a beginner to train and handle.
