Default affordable quality deer/turkey in kansas

we provide an affordable deer and/or turkey "do it yourself" in kansas. woodland guides will soon be providing lodging with our "diy" hunting and our fully guided hunts with a log cabin on one piece of ground and a house in a separate area. I will inform our hunters of the change after it is set in stone. Our prices for a “do it yourself hunt” whitetail or muledeer is 675 for a 7 day hunt. Our price for a 4 day turkey hunt rio grande or eastern is 200 and that includes 2 toms per person. Our fully guided hunts are a bit more pricy as we put people in situations with huge numbers of toms and bucks ranging from 140 to full boone and crocket monster whitetails.

We heavily land manage and hunt manage our land so that each hunt provides quality sightings and quality deer or turkeys. Each deer property is given a large portion of the land to “sanctuaries” (no walk, no hunt), this is the best reason why we consistently produce multiple photo’s of deer in excess of 170 every year on diy hunting properties. This year alone on our property there were over 20 bucks photographed on 2 separate spots over approx. 135 inches, several were in the 150-160 range and at least 3 will make boone and crocket. Photo’s will be provided to anyone who asks for them in a private email.

I manage the hunting pressure so that we keep the deer from becoming nocturnal and so that we can enjoy hunting mature deer every year.

This year our average deer killed was approx. 150”. The smallest deer was a 140” 9 pt. The largest deer was killed this last friday with a bow in the last days of rifle season, it scored approx. 160”. Only one hunter went home empty handed, we will chalk that one up to 2 separate cases of buck fever, it happens to everyone.

Our turkeys have been maintained at 100% success as 17 toms were killed by our hunters this spring, no tom was shot under 10 inches, 2 had 3 beards and 2 had 12” beards.

If you would like to ask any question, I am available anytime and I would be happy to answer any question you might have. don't forget to ask for more photo's of this years killed deer, this years trail cams, and this years sheds found on properties.
