GMMAT, you mentioned the mesh seat. I've been looking at those and will probably buy one and give it a shot. Its basically put together like a hammock and should be real comfy.

I've always had an issue with the seats that were a little too stiff to be pushed back against the tree easily if your standing. My summit was a bear and the LW isa little easier, though not ideal.

I see a few advantages to the hammock styles. One, you can push it back against the tree very easily. Two, they should be quite comfortable for extended sits, three, if you leave it in the woods, it won't soak up water should it rain overnight, four, it is less bulky than the foam style seats and should also save a smidge of weight, and lastly, with the little material that is used, it shouldn't be a scent absorber like foam.
