One of the major problems the MK85's had was that if you shot the rifle a good bit you could get residue into the trigger mechanism. Now on the original MK 85's the rifle had a completely adjustable "target trigger" group. And it just connected to the rifle with a single screw. It was and still is extremely easy to take off and clean. However I never dreamed about cleaning out a trigger mechanism. To mke a long story short it was a couple of days before a hunt, and the trigger gummed up and would not function. I called Knight, and was very upset. They actually sent me a trigger overnight at their expense. So as you can guess, I am a Knight kind of guy.
I was able to fix the trigger with "electric cleaner" and canned air afterwards. But I did not know that at the time. Tom.
