90 gr Pyrodex RS and 370 gr Maxiball.

If you are getting delayed ignition with loose Pyrodex, you are most likely not compressing it adequately. Push the bullet down until it contacts the charge, then compress. It may go another eigth to a quarter of an inch on the ramrod. These are not pellet rifles as far as I know.
