RE: Thinking... Sometimes it hurts my head.
Ok, so I have gotten a few, ahem... replies. Here is why I ask.
I hunt when I can in the evenings really close to my home. It gets too dark to make an effective shot (for me) at around 5:45 PM. I have taken 3 deer from this stand over the years and seen several more. I always have a hard time making myself go to the stand if I get home and get dressed at say 5:00 PM. That only gives me 40 to 45 minutes in my stand and possibly taking the chance of spooking deer getting in the stand. How far a relaxed deer can travel and get to my stand in 30 to 45 minutes may surprise some folks. (Especially if you can enter the stand quietly) I just have to question myself every time as to whether that 30 to 45 minutes "might" be the one time/opportunity.
