RE: best camo?
I have come to the conclusion that it dont matter. Heck, Bob (aka Rev) shot a buck on my land last Fri. wearing no camo at all. He was in a tree with little to noback ground and had no problem with the deer seeing him. I have done the same. Heck, ive shot more deer with army surplus camo than I have with expensive camo. Its all about breaking up your pattern, and nothing more. Deer have very little cones in their eyes, so color has very little consequence. Since thier eyes are loaded with rods, all you need is to have your pattern broke up and they will not pick you out. Ive set in a field, wearing arm surplus camo, in a folding chair, and had doe after doe walk past me, right out in the open. Deer key on movement more than anything. The situation Im speaking of, the deer would walk about 10 feet from me and do the head thing where they look, then look away real fast, just to look back, to see if I moved. They never picked me out, I guess they just thought i was a funny looking bunch of CRP grass.
