Here's the story on the neck. He was injured in a fight. The tine went in in front of his ear and penetrated all the way to the nerves and tendons immediately under the ear. It abscessed into a tennis ball sized wad of pus, etc. When the taxidermist cut the rack off, there was even pus in the brain cavity. He was sporting one mammoth headache but still chasing does.
