Early runs of the 700ML were very good rifles - can't say about the later ones. They most definitely were not junk. Mine shot sub-MOA out of the box with the first and last load I tried. Thing I didn't like was cleaning the bolt - PIA.
I agree I bought one the moment they first came out. Mine shots very well then and now. I shot 90 to 110 grains of black powder andI also shot 150 grain Pyrodexin mine, The manual list that as max. I ordered the 209 primer update a few years ago, But both the cap and 209 primer peformed very well. No problems here with mine.
