The problem is the habitat is not going to recover to any significant degree because around 80% of our forests will still be in the pole and saw timber stage ,where shading is the major factor limiting habitat recovery and browse production. The PGC wants to manage the herd at the ecological or biodiversity of the habitat rather than on the nutritional carrying capacity and that is a major problem for hunters.
