Jeff, how do you know you wouldnt LOVE to hear the roar of a rifle?
I never said I wouldn't. But for DEER? I don't need to kill one with a gun to know what I like. I've taken turkeys with a shotgun and with a bow. I know what I like there.
I can intelligently decide for deer based on that.
not picking on you...i just dont know anyone that dives head first into hunting like you did...most everyone i know grows up hunting...
As did I. I've been hunting longer than you've been alive.....just not DEER hunting.
I've hunted with a rimfire, a shotgun and yes.....I even sat in a stand with a 30-06, once. Would I have shot? Probably not.
I don't question why you guys love what you do. I'm not putting down any other methods of taking deer legally. Not even hinting at it.
Why Is It such a problem with everyone that some of us do not gun hunt? I don't either, my gun hunting career lasted 2 hours when I was 12 years old, didn't excite me even a tad. Big deal!! We all have our passions and what we enjoy.
