Sat next to a kid in the Emergency room once.........I was there for a Softball injury, but HE was there because his hand was bleeding and full of little chunks of brass from a .22 case that blew up on him because he was trying to extract a misfed round on a semi-auto .22 with a screwdriver. [] Wasn' t very pretty.........and they left him wait just like everyone else to boot.

If that thing doesn' t get worked out, and you decide he still should keep it please take the time to show him how to properly handle a situation like a stuck misfed round.........empty cases are one thing. Live rounds are another.

Sounds like a piece of CRAP.........I' d take it back to Wally World and raise holy hell that it doesn' t work! They' ll refund the money if you whine hard enough and maybe threaten bodily harm. Then take the boy and his money and get him that Ruger 10/22.
