RE: How do you do your post season scouting
Honestly....on the lands I just hunted, this year....I feel like I scouted them pretty well throughout the season. My next moves are to do some trail/stand site maintenance. I need to create a more easily traveled corridor where a natural funnel exists.....but the presence of blowdowns makes it hard for them to move. I've got a day's worth of work (Chainsaw/atv)in this area.....and I'll have it done before the year's out. It shou;d make for a GREAT bow stand next year.
I picked up 100 more acres, too. I'll be walking them as soon as we close here on the 20th (with a topo).
Turkey season.....more in-woods scouting. Summer....check the ag fields.
