We have always used loose trace mineral salt mixed with Di-Cal. Most ag stores should have it, about $14 for 100 pounds of mixture last time I bought some. Dig a hole about 3 feet diameter and a foot or so deep, pour in the mixture and dig in some dirt with it. A clay based soil seems to work best.
