Default Barnes Origonals

I know many of you have not heard of this 45/70 bullet for MLer shooting, since it doesn't come a packaged ammo form Barnes. I am using it this year in my Savage and it is one tough bullet all my shots have been pass thru and huge hole on exit, like the size of a silver dollar or bigger < 30 yards or boom flops. I am taking high shoulder shots since my areas to hunt are small (17 acres from tree stands). If you wanna see some other people using this bullet look here:

I am using a Crushed Rib sabot (that is right a black CR for .452 bullets) and they are tight in my Savage with the .458 Barnes Origonal 300g. Actually I think these bullets are a bit too tough for deer, but I will continue to use them this year in my Savage. I am shooting them at 2350, but have shot them at 2000 and got great accuracy. If you sight these in 3" high at 100 your MPBR is about 200 yards. 150 of 777 is gonna get you 180 for sure, maybe 200 MPBR. I designed this setup for Colorado, and it is a great open fields setup. I am using it in <100 yardsituations in VAalso from tree stands, since I am shooting down, it works.
