Dan, that to me sounds like the typical uninformed/misinformed answer you would get from the DNR. Simply looking at the open close dates in the regulatons, a bow is only allowed in CWD zones during the gun hunts.Bow is closed in all other zones during any gun hunt so by logical deduction, actually it doesn't even take logical deduction, it's obvioius you don't need a gun tag to bowhunt because you can't legally hunt there with a bow anyway.

I wonder how many people have gotten in trouble because the ladies at the DNR gave people wrong, misworded, misleading information.
