I called the DNR last year on this and I never got a straight answer.But from the way the law is written You can use a bow durning the gun season but you must have a gun tag.
That's not right Dan. You only need a bow tag. As Joe already said, bow is allowed only in CWD units during any gun season. You just have to be in blaze. All regular, metro, non-CWD EAB, and herd reduction zones are closed to bow when any gun season is in progress.

edit: watch out for the dec 11-14 antlerless only hunt. Even if you are hunting in the CWD units with a bow, you are still restricted to only antlerless just like the gun hunters.

... and you have to wear blaze orange if bowhunting!
