Ivory soap gets my vote. A few ideals on carrying it: put it in an empty roll-up deodrant container, when you've used all you string wax - carve the soap to fit that container or just carry a little chunk with you.
You just need to put it on the end of the arrow maybe 2-inches. I think the soap is a lot lighter (on the arrow) than all the lubes in the tubes.
