I just hate to see people throw in the towel on expandables.... when in truth...it was a bad shot.
I agree, alot of blame is unjustly placed on equipment, just the nature of the beast...it is easier to not accept responsibility.
BUT, bad shots do happen to the best of shooters. Im not anticipating hitting a shoulder when I shoot, but if I do...I'd rather have a better chance of blowing through it...and I don't think anyone would argue that fixed heads have better bone penetration. Sure the lost deer is user error, but maybe, just maybe, a different choice of equipment could have made up for that user error by penetrating the bone.
Each head has their positives, and it really just boils down to a personal decision...I am curious though, why would you "hate to see people throw in the towel on expandables"? Why would you care if others have the same equipment choice as you?
