I had to bite my tongue once again...
Let's face it gentlemen. We all have our own beliefs and securities within our equipment. And the sense of security surely comesbased onour success with our equipment.
We buy a new arrow head, bow, site, release...whatever...If we double lung a deer with it, we generally will state that we like the equipment because we were successful with it.
"""This is not a fixed bladed, expandable broadhead debate""""
I'm Bs'ing with this guy at work today and he starts off on this crazy story of his first experience with expandable headsand how they Quote" SUCK...
He Says" I hit this deer in the shoulder blade and I never found the deer...I'll never use expandables ever again, dude. Have you ever been faced with this conversation? I just bit my tongue.
I've lost deer with fixed blades and shoulder shots. I guess this entire topic depends on the exact area that the arrow hits. I think some guys say they BLEW threw the shoulder blade...when actually they broke through the shoulder plate/ heavy tendon area.... It's just bad news ..regardless of the head... if youshoot right smack dab into the shoulder socket.
I just hate to see people throw in the towel on expandables.... when in truth...it was a bad shot.
