ORIGINAL: UncleNorby

Savage smokeless
I bought mine last year and use it all 2007 season and got 8 deer. Stainless with tupperware stock, $550 for rifle, $200 for scope and $100 for rings and mounts and sling. They are excellent accurate rifles, and definitely fun and easy to shoot, very easy to maintain. Mysaga of finding the rightbullet, sabot, primer andpowder for my Savage is here:

As for what rifle I would like if money is no object an RMC .50 caliber flintlock. I really have enough and am content with what I have. I may beredoing one of the CVA barrels I just got to a great shooting FL with an L&R lock andand a touchhole. I am going to shoot it percussion to see if it is accurate with RBs, it is a .54, and if it is accurate, I will make the investment to switch it.
