Default back from the butcher's

ok, this is a somewhat long story but funny in most other's point of view then my own;

I had a dentist's visit about 1 year ago and asked about the difference in thickness of my jawbones, cuz one as sticking out more. My dentist ( who we all trust, right ) told me not to worry I used my left jawmuscle more than my right hence the thicker side.
SOOOOOOO, no worries....
I moved since then and had to go seea new doctor with a throat infection.
He didn't even give me a chance to explain myself, he just told me to get an echo of my left cheek !!! After that I went to a throat and ear specialist at the hospital, resulted in an MRI scan and a benign tumor of about 1 1/2 inch by 1 inch which had to be removed.
It's a common infection of the saliva gland that becomes a tumor, it apperently happens a lot with smokers, which is great since I don't smoke !!!.
So tuesday morning all washed and sober I had an apointment with the guy who handles the scalpel. After 3 hours of waiting, thirsty and hungry they roll me in the OR and there I had to wait another 30min while I could see nurses carry out little plastic see through containers with some red fluid and what I would call bodyparts. Lucky for me that I was pretty well drugged !!!
So, they roll me onto the table and stick a thick needle in one of the vains of my hand and I just note to the guy that it hurts. In return he looks at me and in a ***** voice goes, " ah a real man " and his eyes turn. Turns out he punched through the vane and he asks for my other hand !!! Right !
They inject me with the anesthetic and off I go....for about 3,5 hours of butchering.
I wake up in my hospitalroom feeling like I got drunk in a sailor's bar singing Village People songs.
I had trouble breathing so they intubated me twice, feels like my jaw was stepped on and I swallowed an 8ball.
Now for the good news, they made a cut of 6" from the top of my ear, round the back into my neck and said that they didn't have to sever any facial nerves.
Which is kinda funny since onlyhalf my face listens to me when I want to grin.
I have no feeling what so ever from the corner of my mouth to the tip of my left ear and guess where my anchorpoint is ?
My left eye only closes for about 3/4 so it dries out all the time and is infected.
But hey no worries, it will all pass after, well, they couldn't say exactly, something between 1 week and 6 months...
And everybody wishes me well and then they ask me if I'm in a lot of pain......
NO I AM NOT !!!!
But hey, I had it removed in time said the doc, these things can turn evil pretty fast, so I guess I'm glad.....
I just wanted to vent.....
I tried drawing back my bow, and the muscles are still there, the form as well, but my aim will be needing some tuning if my cheek stays numb

anyway, thx for all your "wishing me well" and all....
At least I glue some arrows and stuff....
