I think the learning curve can be GREATLY accelerated by the individual. Same as anything else in life. If you really apply yourself and have a willingness to learn what's in front of you, you can become much better at what you do in a much shorter amount of time. Like others have said learn something (anything) each and everytime you go in the woods and you become that much better no matter how small it may be.

I also believe there is something inside each individual. A hunter brain or instinct so to speak [8D]. Just like there are people that can take all the golf lessons in the world and never become a good golfer. There are those who will spend countless hours in a stand and never really "get it". Which is fine by the way.... just some observations.
