Cool buck.
Not to take anything away from the kill.......but is shooting a deer in 3' of water legal?
On Thanksgiving Day Team Va, my buddy, got revenge when they decided to do a little push and this buck came through 3 ft of water to get away, only this timeTeam Va was waiting with the 870 magnum and 15 steps!!
Unlawful to:[*]Shoot a rifle or pistol at wild birds or animals on or over the public inland waters of the state. However, licensed trappers may shoot a .22 caliber rimfire rifle or pistol on or over public inland waters for the purpose of dispatching trapped animals.
Just a guess, but Im betting he didnt literally shoot the buck while in 3 ft of water...He probably meant the buck crossed 3 ft of water (swamp?) in order to get to where he was waiting with his slug gun. That's how I read it anyway.
