I am concerned that my visiting the camera to change film, etc. will contaminate the area and spook deer?! I will ride my mountain bike to the vicinity...then walk about 500 yards to the camera...bike shoes are not scent proof! Oh well Any comments?
Mfro,. Strap a pair of rubber boots to your bike and wear rubber surgical gloves when you mess with your camera. When I first started setting my camera out i didnt think much about scent control and wore regular boots and no gloves. All my pics came in 2 or 3 days after I set my camera out. After I started wearing my rubber boots, surgical gloves, and wiping the outside of my trail cam with earthscent wipes I started getting deer pics on the same day. I also only set my camera out between 11 am and 2pm when most of the deer have bedded.
