So somebowhunters don't do it? Hm, that's interesting.
1 encounter in 21 years.
I was walking to my stand and noticed someone in one of my stands on a field edge. I approached him. He said he was from out of town and hunting with his brother for the weekend. He said he just must have got confused by his brothers directions on getting to the stand he wanted to put him in (which is actually understandable). He apologized every way possible and started packing his stuff up. I told him to just stay put it's a good stand and a good wind for it. Told him to watch to his back and left they come from the bedding area behind him. He ended up shooting a doe that night. He and his brother stopped by our camp afterwards and thanks me and my buddy for letting him hunt that stand. We had a couple beers and I cooked some backstraps. The whole ordeal ended up opening up another 400 acres of land the next year and for years to come. Those are the kind of encounters I can stomach.
