The bucks around my area tend to be of modest spreads (my widest inside spread is 16 5/8) with beams that come around on the ends.
Also, the bucks tend to grow more than eight points by the age of 3 1/2 in most cases and many will grow kickers and stickers. I have actually never shot an 8 pointer on my parents farm but have passed on some that were 2 1/2 year olds.
