Default RE: disc extreme, change of path

ORIGINAL: corey012778

tried conicals out of the disc extreme. namely powerbelts and FPB's. the powerbelts I have on hand. don't shot while out of it. (going to try 300 gr plats. this summer) FPB's shot great at 100yrds, but hard as hell to load if I second shot is needed.

going to work up an sabot load for it with my two weeks off before late muzzy starts. I have shot 240gr cheapshots out of it to check the scope. 3 touching at 50yrds with 75grs of triple 7. (guess this can be an base line). I have .430 240 xtps, .451 250 xtps, hand ful of 250gr gold dots, 10pk of knight hot shots (barnes).

which way should I work? [8D]
Well the Knight Hot Shots are designed for Knight guns and they are one heck of a bullet (they are a Barnes MZ), so Iwould use them. However you only have 10, so that give me pause, since my experience is that it takes about 15 to get dialed in, but I have shot the 300g Barnes out of my Omega with only 3 shots and it was right on, so I only shot 3.

If you were going to shoot a lot with that rifle, then go with the 250 Gold Dots or the 250 XTPs, with a perference toward the Gold dot since they hold together better.
