i heard about the plastic trigger guards on this message board in posts concerning the quality of remingtons , and posts just asking about a new gun purchase period [&:], where people were saying they wouldn' t buy another remington because of accuracy, functional problems, stock missfittments and other related problems they' ve had including the floor plate and trigger guard being plastic , they were in reference to the 710 as well, and they also had problems with the model 597 as well ( but i don' t remember why on the 597 ). maybe i read them wrong but i remember them, that is also where i learned the magnet trick .

as for if i' de ever seen a plastic trigger guard on a rifle , no , i haven' t , i' ve tried my model seven , all of my model 700' s and model 70' s , even my savages and i' ve never found one , but the other posts concerning them were brought to mind by quilly' s post and i answered him on those posts
