Default Southern Zone Changes?

I read in my local paper today that changes may be possible for the 2002 season.New Yorks Conservation Council is pushing for a third Saturday in November start to the SZ firearms season.
However,Council member Bill Hilts Sr of Sanborn says that regions 7,8,9 are considering an antlerless archery season from oct 1-14 and regular archery season oct 15 through the Friday before Thanksgiving. The SZ gun season would open the next day and run for 30 days and close on the fifth Sunday (Just Before Christmas)
Late archery and muzzleloader seasons in the SZ would run for the next 21 days ,taking it well into January.I dont know about you folks but it sounds kinda exciting .Would ease some pressure i think by such a long season.Would love to muzzleloader hunt with some snow in January. Not much to do that time of year anyway. What do ya think?
