Rye Grain
Does anyone plant rye grain (not rye grass) for deer? I heard rye grain is very hardy and will grow in areas a lot of plants won't. I am looking to plant something next fall (August) that can withstand some shade and will attract deer during hunting season. Would this be a good option? I will be planting on a gasline through my property approx (10-12yds wide and 125yds long). The plot sits in the middle of hardwoods and would make a great hunting plot if I can just get something to grow.
