Here in Tn road hunting is illegal but that doesn't stop all the ones who do it. There a huge problem here. They ride down the raod real slow and shoot deer from the truck windows. We just had a poacher get shot by law enforcement two days ago. He was road hunting when the law got afterhim. Then after a short chase he stopped and jumped out of the vehicle with a gun and they shot him. Here's a link to the story if you want to check it out.
