Default What a 300 Weatherby does to a deer (Graphic)

Well one of my dads buddies hunts deer with a 300 weatherby, and each year we advise him to maybe invest in a smaller rifle. This year really just blew me away when he shot this little button buck....

At the place he shot it were gobs and gobs of white belly hair and green guts, which first thing that pops into my head is GUT shot. I kinda hesitate to walk anymore into the thicket, but this dude wont take no for an answer and keeps on persuing.

After about 15 yards we happen across this strand of fatty tallow and intestine hangin in the brush.

Then I seen this after about 25 yards of tracking....its liver just fell out onto the ground!

Then about 20 yards after that we found its whole stomach and pile of intestines...with the heart not too far from it. (Had the picture but the computer messed it up when resizing...figures) We eventually found the deer after about a 50 yard tracking job, which I have no idea how it made it that far with the size of the hole that his gun put in it.

This is the entry hole...not too bad

Then the exit hole just astonished me...its the size of a basketball....
