Let me first start off by saying that nobody deserves this deer more than my good buddy Clayton Campbell. Clayton has been with HB since the day it started and has probably videoed more hunts than anyone on the team. His luck in front of the camera, however, has been a little different. Two years ago Clayton killed an awesome buck on video from the ground with no blind. The tape somehow got destroyed and was not usable. Fortunately this year he redeemed himself with an awesome buck!

The story of this buck all starts last fall when he first got pictures of him. He knew that he was a good looking young deer and that he would blow up if given the chance. Well this fall Clayton and Skyler had been hunting hard and one night in late October they had him show up. Unfortunately it was right after camera light so they had to let him walk. They hunted hard the next few weeks and even saw him a couple more times but couldn't close the deal. They even saw another buck that was pushing 180". After not seeing a whole lot of action last night, they were starting to wonder when all of a sudden he showed up and closed the distance to 20 yds. Unfortunately the shot was a tad forward and hit him in the shoulder. They gave the deer plenty of time and went to look for him today around 11:00. They ended up finding him several hours later.
