Default Montgomery Co. NY Buck

I took this 8 point this past Sunday morning. He was following a doe along a ridge in a large area of hardwoods. The doe came within about 20 yards of my tree and I thought I was busted. I didnt move or make eye contact with her and she continued to move past my stand. The buck stayed about 40 yards behind her and began to walk once the doe did. I gave him a bleat to stop him in the first clear area he came to. I fired and missed! He didnt run and just continued to walk keeping his eye on the doe. He started up hill at an angle and was now almost behind me. I turned in my treestand, supported my gun firmly against the tree, and bleated again to get him to stop. This time I made a perfect shot that took the bottom part of the heart out. He ran about 25 yards and piled up. He will be going on wall next to another nice 8 pt I took in the same general area seven years ago almost to the day.
