He may not be very big but hes a trophy to me. I got up this morning around 5:30 got all dressed and headed out. I got into my stand at around 6:15. It was just a prefect day no wind at all. Just a great day to be in the woods. I had completly forgotten my cell phone and a watch so i had no idea what time it was i thought i had only been in the stand about a hour or so when iheard somethin walking threw the woods I figured it was another dang squirrel. To my supriseI looked over and I saw a deer out at about 80 yards. I pulled up my scope and every time i tried to see his antlers he would go behind a tree. I finally got a clear veiw and relized he was at least a 4 pointer. I found a good spot that would give me a good shot and i waited for him to get there when he did i put a great shot on him. Hit him right behind the shoulder. He went down after 60 yards. Hes not a monster but hes a trophy to me my biggest deer to date. 4 pointer 118 lbs. Ive had a great year got 2 deer with my bow and this one with my rifle. That makes 3 deer in one year that doesnt happen here in vermont very often.
