Meat storage question
Ok so Ive put away from meat from the last deer I shot.....I cut this one up myself (normally send them to the processor), but having three kids and limited time....I had to put most of it up in larger portions than I wanted and it was already 7 days dead (1/4ed and on ice and in fridge) so I needed to get it up asap. So my question is, once I get to the store to get what I need to store it, can I thaw it, put it in the portions I want, and then put it back in the freezer and it be fine....or is one freeze and one thaw all youd want to do before you eat it?
