I believe you've truly CURSED yourself with this post. You must obviously be one heck of a "stalker" to stalk within 15-30yds of deer, because the deer in my area wouldn't allow you that opportunity very often if ever, and the ones you may do that to would be yearlings.
Where I hunt the deer are used to seeing people. Im sure If I went somewhere the deer were timid and not used to seing people then it would make the job tougher. But yes, the poconos deer are used to seeing people they will even walk up to you to see if you have food.
Kind of takes the "HUNT" out of it don't it???? What do you call them with a bag of chips???

Back to the original topic, I flung a few tonight myself. I swung and missed, then out of frustration thought I'd made a GOOD SHOT, instead punched one in the head!!!! Ended up with a finisher when I realized he wasn't dead. SCHIT HAPPENS, trust me. And I had what felt like an almost "perfect" shot on the release. [:@]
