I go to a buddies ranch on Palo Duro Canyon and we go out and spot light a lot of the time, and we seem to see more at night when the moon ain't out. But after the moon comes out the only thing that seems to move are the mule deer. And as for the windy days, the wind hardly ever stops here, but if it gets over 25 to 30 it starts to slow some stuff down.
