Just my own .02 worth ' 06... I just purchased a Black Diamond XR... gun only and have never owned one before. GET the kit!!! Also be sure to get with anyone you know that can help you out with what to buy. I don' t have anyone that I know here that can help me so I' m doing the read the BB' s, listen to what everyone says and then trial and error!!!
