Keith I agree with you it does not seem fair for the local shooters. I also ran into a similar problem with a qualifer in conneaut lake the 2nd leg of the Northeast triple crown. I drove 3 hours to shoot the tournament to have a shot at the title of the 2nd leg championship. I did not shoot the qualifier because I already qualified at Cleveland, So after shooting I turned in a pretty good score in the MBO class and ask what the high score was? I was told my score would win the MBO class by 15 or 20 points but I would not recieve any recognition since I did not pay to shoot the qualifier. My score was basically thrown in the garbage. I was a little upset with the local club. I paid to shoot the course but did not pay the additional money to qualifiy (since I already did) so my score was more or less for nothing. I wish the IBO would help set guide lines for these ibo sanctioned events.
