I began hunting two years ago this weekend when my then 7 y/o son asked if we could hunt. He got his license this fall and has been out three days hunting with me.

I killed my first whitetail on Oct. 18 with a bow. This morning about 10 minutes after legal hunting light (30 minutes before sunrise in Vermont) this nice 130 lb. 5 point walked down the side of the field I was sitting on and suddenly realized I was there when he got about 40 yds. away. A nice broadside shot in the lungs dropped him after a 100 yd. dash. Two deer in the freezer and 1 tag left for muzzleloader. Now we gotta get my son HIS deer!
