There's a reason that the 06' has been around 103 years .

Nothing wrong with any of the 7mm's .7x57 is almost as common 06' and has about 6 or 7 factory loads from all of the big 3 and all sorts of bullet wieghts and types for the handloader .

The 243/6mm Remare good also and make fine varmiters .

I'm wanting a 257 Roberts myself .

The 270 is an excellent all around cartrige but is so close to the 06' that if you have an 06' or 3 there would be any
gain at all in getting 1 .
Well outside of the why yes I do have an O'Connor 270 .
