It' s supposed to rain later this week (at least across the lake from you). I' d spread the fertilizer just before, when the foliage is dry. Don' t overdo the application rate and you shouldn' t have any problems. If the amounts that you want to apply are large, split it into 2 or more applications (one in the early fall). Organic based fertilizers tend to burn the least. You shouldn' t need nitrogen if you inocculated the seed.
