Default .270? A versatile do everything gun?

I am shopping for a new rifle. I currently have a 30-06 so I have my entire dear and elk hunting covered but I recently sold my .223 and I’m looking to replace that small gun with something more versatile. I will be looking for something that I can shoot anything from coyote’s up to antelope and do a little more long range hunting and target shooting. Because of this I have began to lean towards a .270 Savage 110. My 30-06 is a tack driver at 200yds (1” groups or less) and I would like to get something as accurate or better. My priorities are performance, price, and versatility. I think a .243 would be too small for much of the uses I want and anything bigger like a 300 would be overkill. I’m just looking for more opinions and what people have success with currently.
