I get your point, gross is quick, but net gets you in the book.
I agree...however, I dont recognize NET score. When I score a deer that I, or a friend has shot- I get the gross and thats what I tell people.

What you should have said is....."Net is for contests and books and gross is for the actual deer". You know...what God ACTUALLY gave him to carry around on his head.
Nice buck and while I seldom guess about score I'd put him somewhere in the 120 range.
