Why do you want to fertilize? Were your soil tests low in P or K? If you' re not removing a crop by harvesting and the soil tests weren' t too bad you should be OK. If the P or K were low, I would have incorporated the fertilizer into the soil before planting. Otherwise; You should apply the fertilizer asap to help the plants get ready for next winter.

The only qualifier to what I said is if you have dry soil and haven' t been getting rain. I' d wait until the late summer rains so that I didn' t burn the plants.
