I hunt in NE Iowa. Real close to where that monster was taken a few weeks back in Maquoketa, IA.

thats a heck of a tracking job 300 yards. Just one lung hit?
Because he was quartering away very sharp, I'm guessing I gotthe liver and a lung. My broadhead was lodged in the lung area. The blood trail was literally drop by drop. One drop every 25 yards or so. At times I was guessing his path. Figured he either headed for the water or the thickest/nasty'st stuff down there....sure enough, he bedded in the middle of some brushy, thorn bushes.
