1999 - put in for an antlered deer and antlered elk, drew deer. (shot a spike and it was great to eat.)
2000 - did not put in.
2001 - put in for antlered antelope, drew it. (did not get one)
2002 - did not put in.
2003 - put in for elk and antelope and drew for both!
Both of these were antlerless, but that' s okay.
As far as I know, Idaho does not have a preference points system that increases your odds when you do not draw for your applied hunt.
This will be only my fifth year big game hunting here in Idaho, as I didn' t start until later in life. I was in shock when I saw the two hunts pop up as succesful.
